 never really got going on my garden this year. Well - I did but it was too early and most of my plants died in a cold snap or were eaten by the horrendous swarm of inch worms we had hatch in the cherry tree out back.  The whole house was COVERED in the worms and their silk tails. 

The strawberries (3rd year plants) survived - mainly because I thought they wouldn't survive the winter so had buried them under a lot of hay....which they liked oddly enough.

Greg, David and I went to Fandom Fest in Kentucky this weekend and had a great time! 
We ate at the "Troll under the Bridge Pub". After picking the trolls nose, we went in and ordered - Greg and I had "Hot and Brown" which was pretty good. 


 
I am reading Game of Thrones by George RR Martin http://www.georgerrmartin.com/
and will watch the first season once I am done. 
I am working on covering a mirror at work (don't worry I will explain later) with little crochet flowers made from scrap yarn that was too small for the castle. I may throw in a butterfly and who knows, maybe a bee. 
I am also making this sweater, shirt, shrug thing out of red homespun yarn from a lionbrand pattern. I think I will do a tutorial on it with pictures of the steps as they sound a bit confusing but have no pictures. Maybe that will help some people out. 
Oh and I almost forgot the pair of baby blankets I am making for a friend and the throw blanket I am making for a different friend! That doesn't even mention all the day to day maintenance tasks! Haha what would life be if it wasn't full to the brim?

So enough about me... what are you working on?
OK so maybe not a million but I always have several projects going at once. What am I working on right now?
I am crocheting a castle out of covering toilet paper rolls one roll of toilet paper at a time. We are conservationists so it is slow going.  It won't look anything like the picture there but that was the only free pattern I could find for a crochet castle. Oh well. 
I also sprained my ankle so that has been fun. I feel like a bump on a log. I can't clean the house (trust me you don't want to see my kitchen) and I have to ask for everything, water, food, pain killers, and yes more yarn. Hopefully it will heal up nicely, and soon! 
On top of that we are thinking about moving and I am not sure if I will be able to transfer or will need to get a new job. I've started looking for jobs just in case. If you know of anyone looking to hire an awesome lady (that's me) down in the Ft. Walton Beach area please let me know!

We went up to Kerr lake to camp out with some friends.

First time I have camped in at least 30 years, about 15 for Greg and David. 

I wasn't sure I would like it, Greg was sure I wouldn't, so I wanted to give it a shot. 

The view was beautiful!

We went to visit Uncle Lin at his house in the middle of no where!! What a great time we had!
